Heavy weight safety harnesses are safety harnesses that can support 400 lbs. of weight or more. Typically over weight safety harnesses are used in two primary scenarios:

• Heavy weight safety harnesses are used when the workers body weight is heavier than 300 lbs.
• Heavy weight safety harnesses are used when workers are carrying heavy tools on their body.

It is important to note that the weight that a safety harness supports must include the tools that a person is carrying. So if you weigh 250 lbs. and are carrying 50 lbs. of tools, a heavy weight safety harness may be required. Check individual harness specifications to be sure that your harness will support your entire weight.
