In California, Cal-OSHA's standard requires the loading capacity of a skylight screen to be a miniuimum of 400 lbs. This load requirement can increase depending on the anticipated load from an employee, equipment and materials. Cal-OSHA Title 8, Chapter 4, Article 19, 1623 (3)

These screens are reinforced to allow it to meet the loading capacity required by the state of California.
