KeeHatch is designed for safe egress and ingress through roof access hatches and for protection of the roof opening while the roof hatch is open. Employers are required by law to provide a workplace that is free from recognized hazards. A safety railing system protects workers from roof opening falls that can result in injury. Kee Hatch creates a barrier to prevent people from walking into an open roof hatch. The roof hatch railing also serves as a grab bar when climbing out of the hatch.
Built to OSHA Standards |
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.23 requires that the exposed sides of openings in roofs or floors have some form of guardrail protection. When the hinged cover for an opening is left up, the exposed sides must be appropriately protected. KeeHatch Safety Railing System meets both OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.23 and 29 CFR 1910.27. |
Flexible & |
Kee Hatch Systems are able to integrate with existing roof openings and ladderways. Kee Hatch can also be used in conjunction with the KeeGuard® Roof Edge Protection System in order to provide a durable and long lasting, OSHA Compliant roof fall protection system. Kee Hatch is comprised of Kee Klamp® fittings which are supplied in a corrosion resistant galvanized finish. All fittings are galvanized to ASTM A153, and all 1¼" Schedule 40 pipe is galvanized to ASTM A53. Seven different models are available to suit any situation. |
