Rubber Backed Cover Safe Spark

The Custom CoverSafe Spark for Aircraft (SKUs: OSC240001RB & OSCV240001RB) was developed in collaboration with aircraft engineers to meet strict aviation safety requirements.

After eight weeks of on-site testing with aircraft manufacturers, the platform was approved as a safe tool for use during aircraft production and maintenance operations.

Aircraft Specific Modifications:

  • All end caps removed to prevent FOD.
  • Ends are rounded to prevent any sharp edges.
  • Rubber backing added to prevent any scratching or damage to the aircraft.

Since approval in 2024, more than 300 units have been deployed across aircraft manufacturing facilities throughout the United States.

Aircraft Maintenance Safety Platform

Prevent Costly Step-Through Incidents

Aircraft maintenance often requires technicians to remove floor panels inside the fuselage to access wiring, HVAC systems, or structural components.

These openings create serious hazards. Even a short fall into the aircraft interior can cause injuries and expensive damage to the aircraft.

The CoverSafe Spark provides a stable work surface over open sections, dramatically reducing the risk of step-through accidents and protecting both technicians and aircraft structures.

Built for Aircraft Manufacturing Environments

The CoverSafe Spark is constructed from durable composite material originally developed using aerospace and Formula One racing technology.

The platform is electrically insulated, protecting workers from potential electrical hazards caused by damaged wiring or hidden systems during maintenance work.

Aircraft-specific modifications include:

  • Rounded ends to prevent sharp edges
  • Rubber backing to prevent scratching aircraft surfaces
  • End caps removed to eliminate potential FOD risks

Expandable Aircraft Platform

Flexible for Any Aircraft Interior

The CoverSafe Spark can expand to span large interior openings or be configured into shorter, wider work surfaces.

Multiple mats can be connected together to create longer walkways or larger working platforms inside aircraft fuselage sections.

This flexibility allows technicians to safely perform electrical work, HVAC servicing, or structural inspections without disrupting surrounding components.
