Anchor
Anchor points are what you attach lanyards, lifelines, or other active fall protection equipment to. Ensure that your anchors are properly rated to support all OSHA required load standards.
Body Harness
Body harnesses provide a connection point, typically in the form of a D-ring, that attaches to your connector. It is imperative that your body harness fits properly and is inspected before each use.
Connector
The connector connects you and your body harness, to the anchor point. These are commonly referred to as lanyards or self-retracting lifelines (SRL's). It is crucial these are inspected before each use.
Descent/Rescue
The descent and rescue plan needs to be created, trained, and reviewed before every active fall protection use. Having a rescue plan will make all the difference in the event a worker falls.

Types of Rooftop Anchor Points
Mounted
Mounted roof anchors are designed to be permanent fixtures on your rooftop. These anchors are mounted through a myriad of options, including welded, cast-in-place, or bolted.
Non-Penetrating
Non-penetrating roof anchors are ideal for older buildings or rooftops you can’t mount to. Non-penetrating anchors can be both temporary and permanent anchors.
Temporary
Temporary anchors are used primarily during construction or on-site jobs that need active fall protection. These systems are not designed to be long-lasting/permanent.
Window Washing
Window washing anchors, or rope descent systems, are designed to support a user while they're working over the edge of a rooftop.
