Stop Falls. Stop Shocks. Work Anywhere.

Working in an attic, a roof void, or inside an aircraft fuselage shouldn't mean gambling with your team's safety. Exposed joists, hidden wiring, and cramped conditions create serious fall and electrical hazards that standard platforms simply aren't built for.

CoverSafe Spark is designed specifically for these environments. It deploys in seconds, bridges joist voids up to 3 ft, and its Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) construction provides insulation against electrical hazards — so your crew can work confidently without improvising underfoot.

CoverSafe Spark Insulated Safety Matting

Built for the Toughest Workspaces

CoverSafe Spark for electrical work in attics

Electrical Contractors & Utilities

Pulling wire or inspecting panels in a roof space means working directly above concealed wiring — some of it old, some of it live, and none of it labeled. CoverSafe Spark's GRP construction provides a layer of insulation underfoot while eliminating the risk of falling through ceiling joists, giving your electricians a stable platform they can actually trust.

  • Electrically insulated GRP — safer to work over concealed live wiring
  • Bridges open joists up to 3 ft — prevents falls through ceiling voids
  • Fits through standard attic hatches — no tools needed for installation
  • Carry bag included — tools travel with the platform

HVAC, Insulation & Building Trades

No subfloor. No guardrail. Just open joists and a long way down through someone's ceiling. Attic and roof void work is genuinely hazardous, and most crews are one wrong step away from a serious incident. CoverSafe Spark gives your team a real work surface — load tested, instantly deployable, and light enough for one person to carry up a ladder.

  • Load tested to 337 lb per bay — holds a fully-equipped technician
  • Opens to 6.5 ft, spans multiple joist bays at once
  • 22 lb — one person deploys it alone, no assist needed
  • GRP construction won't crack, rot, or degrade over time

CoverSafe Spark for aircraft maintenance and MRO

Aircraft Building & Maintenance (MRO)

Working inside a fuselage or wing structure means tight access, sensitive surfaces, and electrical systems that can't be compromised. Standard platforms don't fit. CoverSafe Spark Mini folds down small enough to pass through aircraft access panels, then opens to provide a stable, non-conductive work surface right where your technicians need it.

  • Non-conductive GRP — safe around aircraft electrical systems
  • Mini folds to 1.05 ft × 2.95 ft — fits through tight access panels
  • At only 10 lb, the Mini is light enough to maneuver inside confined structures
  • GRP technology developed with aerospace and F1 racing materials

Benefits of the CoverSafe Spark

Hazard Awareness

Electrical Insulation and Safety

Constructed from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), this platform provides insulation that helps protect workers from electrical hazards. This is particularly important when working in roof spaces where old or damaged wiring may be concealed within thermal insulation.

Durable

Lightweight and Durable

The CoverSafe Spark mat is made from GRP material originally developed for aerospace and Formula One racing, making it both lightweight and highly durable. This combination allows it to deliver a strong, reliable temporary work platform.

Expansion packs and kits

Easily Portable

Its compact design makes it easy to transport and install, even through small attic hatches. It also includes a carrying bag for convenient transport and extra storage for tools.

Pass Inspection

Testing

Rigorously Tested in Actual Working Conditions

  • Single Point Load Test Passed a single point load of 198 lb. was applied at the midpoint of the extended mat when supported on 1.96 ft. spaced bearers.
  • Capacity Load Test Passed mat extended to 6.5 ft. and placed over four roof beams set at 2 ft. on center, creating three 1.7 ft. 2 bay. Each bay loaded to 337 lb. With load removed no greater residual deflection than .12 in.
  • Load tested to a max spread load of 330 lb. Holds the load of one person only. Not designed to be loaded with building materials.
  • Drop Test Passed a 110 lb. sandbag drop from a height of 3.9 ft.
  • Small Hard Body Impact Test Passed a 1.1 lb steel ball was dropped from a height of 3.3 ft. onto the bars of the mat. This passed at twice the weight, as the test required .5 lb a steel ball.
