Advantages of Our
Rooftop Guardrail System

Rooftop Railing for Every Situation

You can now remove the stress of having to work with multiple companies to find OSHA-compliant guardrails for each rooftop fall hazard.

Our rooftop guardrail systems can be used to protect roof edges, exterior ladder access points, roof hatches, and rooftop skylights...just to name a few.

You deserve a guardrail that can provide safety for every type of roof. Whether you have a flat TPO roof, 18-inch parapets, or a sloped standing seam metal roof, we can help you.

Our guardrail system are designed to tie into other roof fall protection solutions, like safe access platforms.

You've found the one roof safety railing system to protect them all.

Rooftop Guardrail Built to Last

Install a roof safety railing that you know will be just as strong in ten years as it is today.

Our rooftop guardrail systems are built with galvanized steel pipe and fittings. You can also have a mounted aluminum guardrail. Both options do not require welding, which will increase the longevity of the components.

You can also powder coat both options, offering additional protection and an aesthetic enhancement to match your brand.

The Versatility of our Rooftop Guardrail System

Our roof railing can easily overcome obstacles like ductwork with its modular design. With over 100 Kee Klamp fittings to work with, we can maneuver the guardrail in numerous ways.

Rooftop obstructions are not the only obstacle you must overcome. Local and federal codes add complexity depending on where and what guardrail you need. We can handle these regulations with simple design changes, including calculating for high winds. This way, you don't have to worry about your rooftop guardrail becoming dangerous falling debris.

As your needs and regulations evolve, our safety guardrail can be modified and installed to meet the new criteria. That's just a few additional parts instead of a whole new rooftop guardrail.

OSHA Fall Protection Guardrail Requirements

Applicable OSHA Codes

Here is a list of the OSHA codes and requirements that are important for fall protection guardrail.

Federal OSHA General Industry
General Industry codes cover every employment location unless there exist an industry specific code, like with Construction.

  • 1910.28 - Duty to have fall protection and falling object protection.
  • 1910.29 - Fall protection systems and falling object protection - criteria and practices.

Federal OSHA Construction Code
Construction codes apply to work for construction, alteration, and/or repair, including painting and decorating.

  • 1926.500 - Scope, application, and definitions applicable to this subpart.
  • 1926.501 - Duty to have fall protection.
  • 1926.502 - Fall protection systems criteria and practices.

When installing guardrail, whether for General Industry or for Construction, there are some common standards that need to be complied with. Those standards are:

  • Every guardrail must be 42 inches in height. In General Industry, you have a +/- 3 inch allowance.
  • The top rail must withstand a force of 200 pounds.
  • You must have a midrail halfway between the top rail and the walking/working surface so that a 19 inch sphere cannot pass through the guardrail.
  • The midrail must withstand a force of 150 pounds.
  • Fall protection guardrail is needed when you can fall into dangerous equipment or the fall is equal to or greater than 4 feet in General Industry and 6 feet in Construction.
