Advantages of Our
Permanent Rooftop Guardrail

Rooftop Guardrail That's Actually Permanent

The test of a truly permanent guardrail is how long it lasts on the rooftop. Our guardrail is made from galvanized steel and 100% recycled pvc is used for the weights. With no welding, not only will have a rooftop guardrail that will last decades, you'll also have one that's made from products that helps the environment last longer.

There is an old infomercial phrase, "Set it and Forget It". With our permanent rooftop guardrail, you can do just that. Save money from having to replace the guardrail multiple times over twenty years and gain peace of mind from knowing that your permanent guardrail will keep your team safe for years to come.

Upper and Lower Roof Permanent Railing

Permanent Rooftop Guardrail with a Roof Level Change

An Adaptable Permanent Rooftop Guardrail

Our permanent rooftop guardrail can be designed to overcome a wide variety of obstacles on your rooftop. We can wrap around ductwork, make abnormal corners, or keep a continuous guardrail across roof level changes. These a just a few ways that our guardrail provides the benefits of a fabricated system without the fabricated complications.

It's always best to measure twice and cut once. However, even when you do that, complications can arise. That's why you need a guardrail that quickly adapt to changing situations. Whether there was a last minute design modification or a new piece of equipment was installed, our guardrail can quickly and easily change to meet the new criteria. All without compromising your long-term safety requirements.

A Permanent Guardrail for all Roof Fall Hazards

Instead of going to a thousand places to get what you need, you can work with one guardrail system to provide all the rooftop fall protection you need.

Simplify your project by working with our fall protection experts to determine what areas on your roof need fall protection and what guardrail systems you can use to provide that protection.

Our permanent rooftop guardrails can protect against fall hazards found at the roof edge, ladder access points, roof hatches, skylights and more.

Our rooftop guardrail can transition between roof types as well. From flat TPO roofs to sloped standing seam metal roofs, we've got you covered.

OSHA Permanent Guardrail Requirements

Here is a list of the OSHA codes and requirements that are important for fall protection guardrail.

Federal OSHA General Industry
General Industry codes cover every employment location unless there exist an industry specific code, like with Construction.

  • 1910.28 - Duty to have fall protection and falling object protection.
  • 1910.29 - Fall protection systems and falling object protection - criteria and practices.

Federal OSHA Construction Code
Construction codes apply to work for construction, alteration, and/or repair, including painting and decorating.

  • 1926.500 - Scope, application, and definitions applicable to this subpart.
  • 1926.501 - Duty to have fall protection.
  • 1926.502 - Fall protection systems criteria and practices.

When installing guardrail, whether for General Industry or for Construction, there are some common standards that need to be complied with. Those standards are:

  • Every guardrail must be 42 inches in height. In General Industry, you have a +/- 3 inch allowance.
  • The top rail must withstand a force of 200 pounds.
  • You must have a midrail halfway between the top rail and the walking/working surface so that a 19 inch sphere cannot pass through the guardrail.
  • The midrail must withstand a force of 150 pounds.
  • Fall protection guardrail is needed when you can fall into dangerous equipment or the fall is equal to or greater than 4 feet in General Industry and 6 feet in Construction.
