Advantages of Our
Fall Protection Guardrail

Fall Protection Railing for Any Situation

Our fall protection guardrails can be cusomized to protect a variety of fall hazards. Our component system can use a variety of fittings to make custom handrail shapes without welding.

We can accommodate most roof types. We have light-weight, counter balances and narrow, post weights for non-penetrating railing on flat roofs. We can mount to parapet walls, standing seam roofs, and corrugated roofs.

Our fall protection guardrails can also protect rooftop hatches, skylights, and interior mezzanines. If you need fall protection railing, we've got you covered.

Fall Protection Railing that Complies with Federal and Local Code

You need a guardrail that is compliant with more than just OSHA.

From local building codes to state-run OSHA regulations like Cal-OSHA, our guardrail can be customized to accommodate the myriad of load and design requirements.

It's easy to incorporate infill panels of varying styles to meet the 4-inch sphere rule. We can modify the types and quantity of weights to meet 50 pounds per linear foot without overloading your roof. Don't forget to make sure that wind requirements are considered for at-risk locations.

We can perform a remote audit where we use satellite imagery to identify hazards, discuss site specific conditions, and create a detailed report including next steps.

Easily Installed Fall Protection Guardrail

Whether you're a contractor or the owner of the building, guardrail that is easy to install saves you time and money.

Easy doesn't just mean slap it together. Sometimes a project has an unplanned obstacle and the original guardrail layout doesn't work. Our guardrail is easy to modify on the fly. A cut pipe here or an additional fitting there is much easier to acquire than a whole new welded guardrail.

From standard installation to unplanned modifications, all you need is a couple of power tools and an allen key to get the job done.

OSHA Fall Protection Guardrail Requirements

Applicable OSHA Codes

Here is a list of the OSHA codes and requirements that are important for fall protection guardrail.

Federal OSHA General Industry
General Industry codes cover every employment location unless there exist an industry specific code, like with Construction.

  • 1910.28 - Duty to have fall protection and falling object protection.
  • 1910.29 - Fall protection systems and falling object protection - criteria and practices.

Federal OSHA Construction Code
Construction codes apply to work for construction, alteration, and/or repair, including painting and decorating.

  • 1926.500 - Scope, application, and definitions applicable to this subpart.
  • 1926.501 - Duty to have fall protection.
  • 1926.502 - Fall protection systems criteria and practices.

When installing guardrail, whether for General Industry or for Construction, there are some common standards that need to be complied with. Those standards are:

  • Every guardrail must be 42 inches in height. In General Industry, you have a +/- 3 inch allowance.
  • The top rail must withstand a force of 200 pounds.
  • You must have a midrail halfway between the top rail and the walking/working surface so that a 19 inch sphere cannot pass through the guardrail.
  • The midrail must withstand a force of 150 pounds.
  • Fall protection guardrail is needed when you can fall into dangerous equipment or the fall is equal to or greater than 4 feet in General Industry and 6 feet in Construction.
